I don't think we'll see landlines completely eliminated anytime this century if the switch to digital TV is any indication but that won't stop AT&T from lobbying the FCC to set a plan for phasing them out.

Consoles are going to have to start to beef up their hardware to keep up with PC gaming and the workload newer games will demand along with peripheral functions like folding and Blu-Ray playback. It would be great to see some significant processing power added to the consoles!

We'd heard webOS 1.3.5 would be coming to the Pre on Sprint today, and here we go -- it's being pushed to devices right now. The official changelog is quite long, but the big-ticket tweaks include the removal of the app storage limit, better performance, and improved battery life.
