Just need a bit of advice…..ok

had a striped raid array that was fine until I got one of those damn rootkit viruses. The next thing I know, I need to have the system scanned…..so I take out the array and put the drives and  -NON-RAID SUPPORTED SYSTEM(I got distracted) and then I boot up the system and the windows on that system did some disk scanning and then I notice that the system is not detecting the array. So I shut it down and put the disks back into the original system. I have to re-create the array but I don't nuke the data. but it won't boot. I have tried a windows repair and after it copies over the new Windows XP files and reboots….same blank screen…..I run a scandisk….no errors found…..I run the fixmbr…..still doesn't boot….what the hell did I do? LOL….here is what funny….I can ghost the array to a single drive and put it in another system and it sees the data just fine.

Hey guys

Does anyone know of any touchpad software for vista laptops that has the features of a mac pad.  I really want the two finger scrolling capability and am not too fond of the little scroll bar on my hp dv6000.  Just curious if anyone knows of any programs that can do this with a windows based laptop.

TIA

I notice that when I get e-mails on forum threads, there is a broken image tag in front of any quoted part of the reply.

This image tag points to "http://hothardware.com/Themes/calypso/images/icon-quote.gif", which does not seem to exist.

There's simply no denying that many tech enthusiasts love all things small.  As of late, with the likes of products such as the Asus Eee PCLenovo ThinkPad X200, Dell Studio Hybrid and other small form-factor systems; thin, small and light is definitely "in" and has become a fad of sorts.  What is this obsession with small?  What ever happend to big, clunkly and overbearing?  You can't turn around these days without bumping into something that looks like it was designed to work best in Munchkin Land or Gary Coleman's gym bag.  Regardless, it seems Super Talent isn't about to give us manly men, who like big, nasty, in-your-face computer gear, a break from the current megatrend in all things tiny.

Just what you need to accompany that ultralight notebook or mini desktop — the Super Talent Pico Gold series 8GB USB keychain drive emerges, for those of you that are so proud of getting your tiny on, that you want to dress it up in a little bling.  And we do mean a "little"…

While it's not exceptionally speedy, it does certainly pack a fair amount of storage (8GB) in a tiny footprint.  The ST Pico Gold, as you can see here, offers performance in the middle of the pack, when it comes to larger file transfers but it trails in smaller 32K, 256K and even 2MB file sizes.  On the flip-side, this drive might come in handy for those of you with a nautical affinity, with its clip-on keychain accessory and more importantly, this USB memory stick will endure being completely submerged in water or other liquid.  Fashionable, water-proof and of course, tiny — Super Talent's new tiny Pico Gold 8GB USB drive can be yours for $32.99.

I just get my secound video card XFX 8800 GTS (512 MB) for SLI, I installed, turn on my pc and works with no problems.

Hmm I went to the Nvidia control panel to enable the SLI then I went to the option "SLI performance mode" to choose "force split-frame redering" but when I started to test the performance on Crysis and Unreal Tournamet 3 the games are very slow every time I enable the option "force split-frame rendering" the only option that doesn't give this weird problem is when I choose "SLI performance mode: Nvidia recommended"

I have the latest video card drivers, the latest mobo drivers and I even checked the bios for SLI settings and it has the lastest update. I'm not sure if is this some kind of bug with the drivers, something with my monitor or plug the monitor in a different DVI conector.

This is my Spec:

Mobo: Asus P5N-SLI.

PSU: Cooler Master Real Power 550 Watts.

Two XFX 8800 GTS (512 MB)

Windows XP with SP3.

Monitor: Viewsonic VA1912w.

Any clue what could it be?
